no.
the page just went empty (except for the header and the options on the left) and when I returned to the game page, the game had not progressed.
I even clicked "go to next turn" to check if it had still run.
However, the turn 4 page is empty.
One thing I noticed is that before I pressed "Run next turn", there was no map on the turn 4 page, afterwards there was an empty map.
Don't know if that info is any help.

ok 3 bugs here
0 1.457 0 0 0 0 0 0
no troops, and it has a level. cosmetic but a bug nonetheless
also i went to N+ a player and the player did likewise and that did not go through
also something that does make a big difference is that i had workers mining and they should have averaged 22 items and supposedly found nothing. this is a pretty big problem.

First will probably be passed over for the moment as it doesn't effect game play. I will have a look though, can you tell me when the last troop left (was it an attack, a movement, GCAs or was the province empty from the beginning of the turn, in which case same question applies to last turn).
Second is hopefully easy to fix, in the short term can the GM (Wippo) check the two players' turn reports and manually adjust the NAP level if need be.
Third one: It's possible I broke something when fixing the mining script, but I can't see where. You're a long way off average though, so I'll do some tests in the practice game and see what comes up.
Chris.

I have seen (and reported) the same bug during one of the previous test games. As far as I can tell it is indeed just cosmetic and does not need to be adressed. But thanks for pointing it out!SmashFace wrote:ok 3 bugs here

I looked at both players orders and they appear to be ok, so I guess this bug is real. I could fix it manually.SmashFace wrote: also i went to N+ a player and the player did likewise and that did not go through
Again, I have to say that Smashface has a point here. The result of his mining is (i.e zero) is so far from the average that the probability of this happening must be extremely low.SmashFace wrote: also something that does make a big difference is that i had workers mining and they should have averaged 22 items and supposedly found nothing. this is a pretty big problem.
Korexus is currently looking for the bug.
Here I could offer to run a turn during a practice game with the same setup (i.e. workers, province type, tech level, tribe) and then manually add the diamonds to Smashfaces stock.
If the problems cannot be fixed on time, I will pause the game (but I doubt that will be necessary).
All comments & suggestions welcome.

Mining bug is fixed (hopefully for good). When I had referred to mountains as 'MO' when defining bonuses, but they are actually called 'MT' so Smashy was getting a 0 multiplier on his work.
N+ bug has been identified, but I need to be more awake to fix it. Basically Gaz's code assumes that the N+ order for both players will be in the same order slot. As this does not need to be the case I will fix it, but it's going to require thinking about so may have to wait for the weekend.
GM Wippo, it is possible to avoid a re-run here, if you are willing to do some fiddling. The NAP level is easy to fix, the mining a bit more so. You could use the practice game to generate an example of what SF could have got, you can roll dice, or you can just go with averages. Your call on that one.

Furthermore, I will run a turn in the test game just as you (and I) suggested.
Smashface, are you happy with this (I will E-Mail you what diamonds you got of course)?

I have changed the NAP levels and Smashfaces stock.
Korexus has fixed the mining bug, the NAP level bug is still pending.

PS: Considering how long it usually takes to fill up a group, maybe we should start thinking about the next advanced game (not necessarily now, but in a few turns).
We need a new GM and more Maps. And how about and additional beginners (+/- players with no advanced Wok VPs) game to recruit more players?

I'm not sure we want to scare newbies with Adv WoK.
Han's current beginner games show how much problems newbies can have with Standard WoK even with the amount of effort kor has put into making it newbie friendly. Adv WoK could be discouraging.
E.g. think about panda. He's active in Standard games, but never sent in orders for this Adv game.
But a new regular waitlist would be a good idea.
I have a Standard WoK waitlist open and I'd really like to play in the next Adv game so I hope everyone's ok with me not GMing the next Adv game.

I just realised that when I set up the game, I went for mentioning GCAs in the commentary (as a announced). At least I thought I did. However, the engine has never mentioned GCAs.Xarfei wrote:I have now opened the new Wok Advanced game:
"GM Wippo - TheUsualSuspects"
Rules:
Game is for VPs.
Starting positions are random.
GCAs mentioned in the commentary.
Teleport at tech level 10.
No bad weather&bridges.
MRES maximum raised to 9999 (from 999).
Everyone starts with 11 armies plus one of each upgrade type (i.e. still 15 troops in total).
Did I not select the right box or is this a bug?

Indeed, lots of fun, but I don't think I've ever seen Advanced WoK be this swingy. 2 RIP bonuses being fought over on the last army has got to be a first and the Scholars would have looked pretty good if that roll had gone the other way...
Still, this thread's meant to be about bugs, so I'll stop moaning...

Re: GM Wippo - New Advanced Game (#2)
BigJOzzy has asked for an extension because he is going on honeymoon next week. (So I guess the extension will be 7-8 days).
I am happy to extend the game by that much and I am sure SF and Kor won't mind (too much) either.
I am just posting this to inform everyone.
There is a slight chance that BigJOzzy will be able to send in orders for this turn on time, which is why I am not extending the deadline yet (because I cannot undo such a change).
